We're excited to announce that Sunu is the new Committee Chair for Pack 623!

Sunu is a dedicated parent with a Bear Scout in the pack and has already shown strong commitment to our scouting community. As Committee Chair, she will help guide the pack by coordinating behind-the-scenes support, organizing events, and ensuring our leaders and scouts have the resources they need to thrive.

We’re grateful for her leadership!

Enter the 38th annual Scout Life “Say Yes to Reading” contest now! Write a one-page report titled “The Best Book I Read This Year.”

The book can be fiction or nonfiction, but the report has to be in your own words — 500 words tops. Enter in one of these three age categories:

• 8 years old and younger
• 9 and 10 years old
• 11 to 17 years old

First-place winners in each age category will receive a $100 Scout Shop gift card. Second-place winners will receive a $75 gift card, and third-place winners will receive a $50 gift card.

Everyone who enters will receive a free patch like the one shown on this page.

Effective June 1, all Scouts will officially move up to their new ranks as follows (based on their grade in Fall 2025):

• Lions (Kindergarten) → Tigers (1st Grade)

• Tigers (1st Grade) → Wolves (2nd Grade)

• Wolves (2nd Grade) → Bears (3rd Grade)

• Bears (3rd Grade) → Webelos (4th Grade)

• Webelos (4th Grade) → Arrow of Light (5th Grade)

• Arrow of Light (5th Grade) → Scouts BSA (6th Grade and up)

Let’s keep the momentum going into another awesome year of growth, adventure, and achievement!
